WAY too quiet around these parts. Anyone doing anything interesting?

Me? I currently have a few drawings in a group show & am starting to prep work for a solo show in the spring. I 've also dusted off my brew pots & carboys and have made a few batches of mead.


So...what is everyone else doing?

Well, Ive been doing exams galore - my last week of college this week! Very mixed feelings about that - some of it has been intense but I have enjoyed it immensely! Will be an interesting week - classes winding down so will be all over the place.

Last week? Like very last week? Summer vacation or graduation? And many well wishes and much success with those exams.

Well, there is actually 2 weeks but the last week (ending 8Dec) is really just for people that need to finish assignments or missed or need to resit exams. I only have to tweak a couple of things, and finish some homework (Homework still sucks!) and I have a role-play exam next Thursday(1Dec). I won't even be needed there much this week.

Yep, graduation - it was a 20week course!

Haven't been on much on any sites lately. Last week or so I've been finally rearing my head again.
Dealing with physical issues and on top of that my dog got attacked yesterday so I'm taking care of the poor thing. Old lady that she is with staples in her head and on antibiotics...her eyes make me cry when I look at them. She always gets crap from smaller dogs but never does anything in return. Yesterday she did defend herself but only after rolling on her back and submitting didn't work. Great Danes aren't fighters by nature but sometimes I wish she would just defend herself better.

My news is ,I have been written a b violation from the nursing home I work at .I cut the residents pizza with scissors so they wont choke and yes I wash them and also use a alcohol wipe on them.DOM told me she heard it threw the grapevine .they also gave my friend and coworker a B violation for not turning me in!!! I am going to file grivance against them with the union no where does it state I cant use scissors to cut pizza and realy we cant have a knife on the lock down ward.

my news...

Recently tested for my first red stripe in Tae Kwon Do. That's about 4 ranks away from preliminary black belt at our dojang (school). Yay! It was a really rough test x_x I was sore for days.

Other than that, I've been writing and I was offered a new job at a restaurant opening up downtown. Which I took. I've been redesigning their menu and helping set up the place in my spare time.

I've also been reading some new books and broadening my knowledge of herb usage in magic and medicine.

Did a bit of xmas/yule shopping. Spent more than I should have but I kind of want to make up for the last few years. I'm making the majority of gifts but it still takes supplies and sometimes, like yesterday, I found some things I just couldn't pass up!

Well, I just did my last assessment in college. It was a role-play where the the teacher pretends to be a customer and I had to sell her a tour. I was fun! A little nerve racking because it was a teacher, but fun! Oh, and she said I did really well! (That's a gold star for my forehead!)

Well, I've lost over 10kg since I have moved... About half of that is simply the result of catching buses in the absense of a car. The other half... Well, my very bestest friend got both her and I weight loss hypnosis for our Libran birthdays... It has been great! Has made the old beaten up willpower so much easier to utilise. It is very exciting!
